“e.T” Poem by YAKUBU GIWA

“e.T”

I am the major unknown
In the land I call my own
Due to the history I disowned
A thing that has become renowned
Among people with skin like my own

I am an EXTRA TERRESTIAL
In the area I call residential
This I am proud is not confidential
Yet it is not beneficial
It leads to being ridden up which is consequential
Yet I am celestial

I am MR. BLACK
Who willingly wants to be a slave for JACK and MILK
Because I lost my track
I want to regain my path
To get in touch with past
For I no longer want to be tagged ‘E.T’
