Earth, Angels Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Earth, Angels

Angels sought her
Upon a myriad of pristine dreams
Formulating through serenity
Reaching out, arms of compassion
Grabbing empty promises
Accursed from the past
Residuals of hurtful events
Serpentine deliriums
By the evils of man’s past greed

Demons possess her
Upon a path of redundancy
Belligerent heart’s hostility
Fed to the fire of the metaphoric Devil’s wrath
Angelic tears burnt into the fiery hell
For which has painted her heart black

Her heaven now dwindles
Hell conjured by doubt
Gloomed into agony
Good intentions,
All but a distant memory, Descended
Crying ashes of Seraph wings
Tragic dysphoria
Upon a dystopia born of shameful deeds

Earthbound and lost
A vast wasteland ahead
Lament of a graveyard’s mourning
Unmarked mausoleum for which she’s been mislead
Forgotten, Left for life
Wishing for death
As every Demon laughs inside her own abysmal head

Angels sought her
Upon a myriad of pristine dreams
Formulating through serenity
Reaching out, arms of compassion
Grabbing empty promises
Accursed from the past
Residuals of hurtful events
Serpentine deliriums
By the evils of man’s past greed

The source of love in pain
A world filled with violence remains
Beauty exiled
Now unheard of and betrayed
Suicidal beauty
Unhinged into the grave
Into the agonized beyond
Broken and vehemently betrayed

Her Demons won
Angels have now expired
The Host is killing her
She has all but been defiled

Barren toxicity
Nomadic waste
Such a tragedy in space
A broken temple
Her body, her home

Now just a void
In a wasteland enduring
Waiting to be born again

Aeons, Her Demons will be gone
Angels will eventually evolve
Out of a cocoon made from silk
Golden in ethereal bliss

Heaven on Earth
From here to eternity
It will not be long
Somehow, Someway
Love, Always finds a way to be strong

In a manmade proclamation
The host always bullies on
But somehow, someway
Love, Always finds a way to be strong

She is home
Nature, she beautifies

In all her grace
In all her flaws
She gives her hosts love
Now if only they never let her die

The Host are Demons
But the Angels are that for which always survives

Positive always lives on
Negativity eventually always seems to die

In the eyes of love
Earth Angels will always survive

Earth Angels will always survive!
Indeed, Earth Angels will always indeed survive!

Celebration, Oh, How it is great to be alive!
