the world is hotting up
to a major catastrophe
three hundred years of
deception that quality
of life has improved

industrial revolution
science revolution
mental revolution
while the earth at our
feet begs to differ

improved yes but for
how long? it screams back
choking in fumes, floods
and cancerous agony

it is surrendering
itsefl to our indifference

even the ice at the arctic
is breaking out of its
million years of quiet
to give its warning,
that when it can
no longer hold the world
together its tears
woulod inundate whole city

the amazon forest also
sings its blues, as its
green slowly stills to yellow
and brown to feed the air that
would turn its back to become
man's scariest foe
