If certain stressors are not relieved
the odds of a cataclysm will increase.
Tectonic plates will gnash
like an angry jawbone
or
rock formed over a billion years
will go to liquid
from the focused heat.

Lower magnitude events
may only be detected
by sensitive instruments
or susceptible wildlife,
while higher order disturbances
may change the level of the land,
reroute a river, or create a lake.
