Easter Poem by Forrest Hainline

Easter

The Resurrection
Saves us. Death alone is no
Triumph. Only death.

No Resurrection
And Jesus’ Passion leaves us
Empty and angry

If Good Friday were
The end of it, faith would be
Fear and love vengeance.

The Resurrected Christ
Led no mobs and planned no
Retaliation.
