Easter Poem by Sue Anne

Easter

Easter comes but once a year
Do not fret, do not fear
Christ once died upon the cross
For had He not, we would be lost.

Mournful and sorrowful on that day
We've come to know as Good Friday
Sentenced to die for our sins
So we may have new life in Him.

The holy temple He did destroy
But wait dear friends, we sense a ploy.
True to what the scriptures said
He resurrected from the dead.

This day we rejoice, we celebrate
A chance to stand at heaven's gate
A love like His, there is no other
New life begins this day on Easter.

Dear Sue, your words touch my heart, especially right now. Jesus died and we are made whole again. He will take away the pain, and the hurt. He knows what's best for me. Thank you Sue, for reminding me of his greatness with your poem. -alexander
