Eat And Drink Well Poem by Michael P. Johnson

Eat And Drink Well

Some think they’re safe from death and hell
Sitting in church at ease
Foolishly thinking all is well
Doing just as they please

“I’m saved I’m blessed I’m Heaven bound
I’ll live without a doubt
For in life’s book my name is found
Where fire! Can’t burn it out”

Is this the truth, are these the facts?
Is this why Jesus died?
Let’s journey through the book of acts
With righteousness as guide

Let’s see what God through Luke will say
Turn the pages of Paul
Let’s learn through these, The Perfect Way
So no one comes to fall

Let’s greet the book as living bread
As water fresh and deep
Lets eat and drink till truly fed
Before we fall asleep

For all must sleep before we rise
Before God’s face we see
Before we enter Paradise
Or hell, if that should be

Make no mistake the bible’s clear
God’s word is all to plain
Many will leave this world in fear
Many will live in vain

Make your election sure my friend
Consider all your ways
For soon the time of grace will end
Just as the bible says
