Echoes Poem by Roberta Blair Bird

Echoes

Sounds of children in the distance,
Sounds of children in the past,
Laughing, and playing together,
A mother's heart was cast,
She sat, sad and lonely,
And across the corridors of time,
Her children gathered around her,
Bringing happiness so sublime,
She was so very faithful,
She wanted so much to live,
She wanted her family around her,
We hope she will forgive.
