Eighty-One Poem by jerry hughes

Eighty-One

Rating: 3.5

Ye gods, eighty one!
Who'd have thought it?
Certainly not I.
So there's one delightful
person to thank.
Alison.
She's stood by me in every
conceivable way.
Lucky?
You bet your bippy I am!

I blush as I read your beautiful words. succinct, I think is the word you would have used to describe this octogenarian reflection: 'Not a word out of place', is mine. Bless your heart. Love, Allie x x x

What an adorable poem Jerry! I was touched by your love and appreciation for Alison. The 'You bet your bippy I am' made me laugh.
