Electric Light Poem by Saeed Gomez

Electric Light

When my soul and His spirit collide, the earth quakes, the waters cold, the sun burns, the rain pours, the skies slow down. My heart melts within me, my feet tremble for I can't keep balance. My skin, the hairs, they raise in power, electric shock, my body flies to cloud 9. The worry dies, the stress fades away. My essence is healed, my wound never yields, no no it is drowned by peace, and my lungs breathes only the cold oxygen He invites within me. Like kisses, my body is embraced by His touch. Like hugs, I am serenaded by the power of love. My soul is reinforced, back to being whole. Now my only wish at that moment is, 'Lord, when do I come home.' He whispers, 'Up there is home sweet home.'
