Elegy For A Yellow Hat Poem by Paul Gomez

Elegy For A Yellow Hat

not weathered nor tattered.
quietly disheveled,
as to speak of moments
that should have been.

Stoic commemoration
for elapsed illusions
enigmatic despondency
deteriorating through
insidious avenues
