Element Of Hate Poem by Asma Khan

Element Of Hate

I hate you so much
that it hurts me to death
May you never find love again till
your last breath

I was a beautiful rose
blooming on my own
Neither did I have
a heart nor did I own any throne

You came to pick me up
like a wild spring breeze
Promised that I can turn
my stalks into strong trees

Kept me in a crystal
vase full of dreams
Showered me with
life and endless love
to the extremes

I bloomed charmingly
proud of my charismatic fate
And suddenly began
to wilt in your wait

I must grow my roots here
so asked for my land
But you broke the crystal
dream like a quick sand

Left me begging in the
middle of life and death
to fight an uphill battle
with myself till my last breath

You are no more than
an element of hate
in my life's book
an unwanted chapter
I would ever like
to read or to look

Now you came
to bury me under
your sorry and mercy
Remember, that parting
in love is no bravery!
