Elixir Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Elixir

Rating: 4.5

Hope filled with elixir
Curing all of the gloom
Fate, A new love
Dark clouds all around,
Eyes in bloom

Dreaming of the sun
Despite the darkness abode
Warmth in the near future
The journey towards love
Even if still all alone

Soul of prophesizing contour
Shaping towards a sunset tomorrow
Safety no longer set in sorrow
This imagination shall be at one with the light

Dread, the king of banter
Never easily shall I succumb
To a dead stop into agony
Imprisoning self by hopeless self-grief
Feels so comforting at first, but presently last, No!

Never giving up
No matter what roadblocks ahead
It ruined my life before
Never will I give in again!

When all seemed wonderful
There ended up being a catch
Always something after another
From glorious ride to a ride of distress

But now I am stronger
More durable than ever before
I was never the ugly one
To true beauty ugliness is unknown

Hope filled with unlimited elixir
Curing any sort of gloom
Fate, A new love for self and others
Dark clouds around
Eyes still in bloom

Staying too far within is easy
Comfort inside, No risks, self-regret
Denial is suicide
To those living one day towards internal death

I once lived a life of so called comfort
One problem after the next
Everything thing around seemed docile
But in reality everything was a mess
Always searching for solutions that were never even there

Hope filled with elixir
Never a complete cure
Fate, A hard journey ahead
But that is the beauty of dark clouds in the clear

Challenging myself for the sun
The light at the end of all suffrage
This body is just a cocoon
For this soul to finally fly freely

In the present, here I am
The past has made me wiser
Stronger for the future
Beyond the non-existent end

Hope filled with elixir
Never a cure, just a quick mend
The true medications are dreams
Always giving destiny a better prospecting end

Inside these dreams
The sun is always here
No matter how bad things get
Nothing will ever destroy how I want to feel

I am my own cure
I create my own hope

The elixir was a façade that was never even here

Hope is the truth everywhere!

This should be our mantra of life. Amazing poem. Never giving up / No matter what roadblocks ahead / It ruined my life before / Never will I give in again!

The concluding lines, I am my own cure I create my own hope are dipped in self confidence and it is a reiteration of the fact that God too helps them who help themselves. Very inspirational poem. Enjoyed reading it. Thanks for sharing.10 points.
