Elusive Things Poem by Gita Ashok

Elusive Things

It’s a funny fact of life
that elusive things are rife.
Whenever you’re on the phone talking,
all pencils seem to have gone walking!

You keep your pair of spectacles right here
but it always seems to disappear.
And the cell phone too loves to hide
under the newspaper or by the bed side!

Shouldn’t the remote be by the television?
Can’t figure out how it landed in the kitchen!
Now what has happened to the house key?
Is it still sitting on the door happily?

Who took the bookmark out of my novel?
That I found the page I was reading is a marvel!
Why do things seem to elude me constantly?
Do they just want to play hide-and-seek with me?

Why do things seem to elude me constantly? Do they just want to play hide-and-seek with me? ......... .thing uncared goes elusive beyond and without as mind minders, it hides somewhere beneath.and within....smile, very common phenomenon by day-to-day life, yet ingenious,10+++, thanks for sharing
