Embrace Of The Mind Poem by Pure Remedy

Embrace Of The Mind

'Sometimes we think we know ourselves, but sometimes we won't know until we admit.' -Pure Remedy-

When you look in the mirror
What do you see?
When you close your eyes
What do you dream?
If you had the force
What is your will?
To fight for love
Would you kill?
If you were to cry right now
What would be the reason why?
Do we ever show gratitude for our pain?
Life leasing of studies to become lessons learned.
We can only do and show so much the last move is based on
'Embrace of the mind'
Will we learn how to complete ourselves?
Will we know the feeling of accomplished self?
We can accept the fact we are alone.
No one is obligated to stay around, so dare we ask?
I can be in a room filled with people and still feel alone
Some may hold me but still I feel alone
Why am I not comfortable with there hands and arms?
They mean no harm, but still I remain tense
I can admit many things most can't
I'm still in love
I'm still a lil scared of lost love
I'm still in pain from my childhood and those I had trusted
I have healed from what I was, feelings (her) still live in my domain.
Beauty is her name
5'4, silky caramel skin, with the smile of a half sun
The heart of an empress
Thick rooted dark nappy hair
I never believed in brown moons until I looked into her eyes
That lit up like stars
Beauty is a source of mother nature more of what the world needs
A strong woman
A fighter
An intelligent woman
A sightseer
She is my other half and a simple image of pure qualities
Do you know her?
Do i know I?
