Emerald Chandelier Poem by empty shell

Emerald Chandelier

ants march along my forearm lost in curly hair
grass scratches my back, between shirt and pants
sweat rolls into my ear, all sound in a jar
and the sun is beckoning me, sneeze
but I can't move, I won't
I don't dare shift my gaze
transfixed by nature
bewitched by bark and leaves
my eyes convulse
watching arms and fingers, holding leaves
scanning intricate paths of, rough, dark skin
branches and branches, various patterns
all of it held up by just one trunk
nature at its finest
an emerald chandelier
the most beautiful tree I've ever seen
and only cause you're here
