Bonnie,
The eyes are the window to the soul... you write with such meaningful precision and thought. Lovely, simply lovely!

My wife has those emerald eyes, her beauty she must know! for she cannot disguise!
they light up my life, they melt my heart, .she knows just a glance will tear me apart
in firelight, reflections of a woman in love, in moonlight, her eyes I see heaven above
what grandly aspersions that treat my heart, one day my love our eyes they must part |

Stunning imagework, Bonnie.I like the variable stanzaec structure you employ, in identifying your choice to modify the tone of the poem, and tap a different, yet applicable avenue of the onset storylines tone & course.Very nice work!

Bonnie, your first six lines say all you need, strongly and poetically. The rest of the poem is redundant, in my opinion. Passionate writing nonetheless. love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ |

this is a true poem on the level of Ashram Ayres or Charles Bukowski.... asks one of those questions that can't really be answered....
lovely
