Emotional Recognition Poem by Theresa Ann Moore

Emotional Recognition

A concoction made of visual impressions
Stirred in an atmosphere of love… not mayhem
Invoking a response that is strangely predictable
Almost as though it was computer programmed

The outcome has a distinct affect on character
An undeniable response that is effortless
A quickened pulse changes facial expressions
Emotions flicker and flow with effervesce

Detection offers tranquillity…not murky madness
It is a design created by a spontaneous reaction
Immediate sensations of joy… not resentment
Its explanation goes beyond scientific interaction

Reactions don’t come with a manual or directions
Logical conclusions are not laced with delusions
Trust and love lead to a favorable interpretation
Overanalyzing can result in dubious conclusions

The substance that binds significance is truth…
How a person chooses to relate to a situation
Determines the acknowledgement of what is real
Thinking with your soul… gives meaning to sensation
