Emotional Worth Poem by MiChaela Giles

Emotional Worth

Crying crimson tears,
Platinum against flaky rust,
Crystal shards on the muddy concrete,
The sizzle of holy water on a demon's epidermis,
Immoderate amounts of hate produced by love,
Blood thirst as the result of a lavished untruth,
Tears shed for one unworthy of their meaning,
Visions taken hostage by the blind,
The bitterness of heartbreak clouding the sweetness of love
