Emotions

Mercurial in temperament
A whirlwind compass
Pirouetting like a ballerina
Untethered like a feather
Gliding on the curves of a mistral
A thrush of entropy bouncing
Like a ping-pong in the abysses of the heart
She prostrates to desire even love
Like a friar in front of a crucifix
She seeps enthusiasm for thrill is her Achilles hell
She can fall like a shooting star
Yet rise like an ethereal kite
She is a gushing juggernaut
Only felt by the marrow of man's instinct
She leaves no imprint on the retina
Yet incites torrents of streaming tears
She whispers deep within the soul of man
To emancipate man from the clutches of monotony
She liberates like an orgasm to the courting soul
She is a conjecture of the evolution of man
She is the royal scepter of providence
She is the seabed to the ocean of mankind
She is a miracle within a miracle
A breath of genius exhaled by the lungs of god
For she is the air gushing within the pneuma of man
Yet apically she bequeaths on man
The infective sensation of unconditional love

Poem of the Day

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

A little while a little love
The hour yet bears for thee and me
Who have not drawn the veil to see
If still our heaven be lit above.
Thou merely, at the day's last sigh,
