You are the moon
empress of the night
sitting on your throne
In the immeasurable darkness of the sky
You shine more luminously
than all the stars
They are nothing
but your most loyal subjects
they dance around you
Like jesters for your amusement
You rule over them
with a placid silence
As a sort of melancholy
Radiates from your being
And as the break of day
Temporarily ends your reign
I only long for the night
So that I may see you again
