Empty Poem by adam stevens

Empty

It's an empty room now
it was once vibrant
a chorus of cheerful voices
now there's dust in the corners
and a void of choices
can you pause,
listen to the echoes?
strange to see them gone,
with nothing to fill the blank spaces
not the fading memories, nor smiling faces
Don't linger in this silence,
it'll cause your ears to ring,
rather just move through
don't chase old ghosts
they move too fast
even if you saw one
the moment wouldn't last
