Empty Church Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

Empty Church

Everything is perception or is it?
What about morals?
Do you still believe in them?

The old man buried his wife
He cheated on her through their marriage
See him cry like a baby

Conscience, ethics, right and wrong
Modern man like a staggering drunk
Feelings need a basis

Blue tablecloth sags over the corpse
He followed his depression
His daughter found him

Perception in an empty church
