Empty Spaces Poem by Frank Moses Phiri

Empty Spaces

Empty spaces
I have always hated them
their feel of nothingness
their uncomfortable grip of lonely
their empty touch that chills the spine

Empty
Like a blank page
With nothing to tell
All nothingness
Void of thought or emotion

Lifeless
Silent like the grave
Ever demanding to be noticed
An abyss that's always taking and never giving back

I hate empty spaces
Especially those in the heart
