End My Chase Poem by Khalid Hameed

End My Chase

Rating: 5.0

I am a traveler in a desert
all alone,
I got no money and don’t have
any home,
I am looking for you and I
cannot find,
you may be near
but I feel like I’m blind,
my lips all dry and
heart full of holes,
I am bleeding all over and
can’t go anymore,
going across the hot sand
with no shoes on my feet,
hoping to find you and
you’re ready to greet,
with water in your hands
under a shady coconut tree,
with a smile on your face,
and willing to embrace,
so I can end my chase.
