End Of All Things Poem by David Wicks

End Of All Things

I'm sitting here
At the end of all things,
And my best wishes go
To all human beings,
Especially you,
Who I adore so.
I hope that you live
For I don't want you to go.

I didn't want you to leave me
Up here all alone,
With the screaming of people,
And the smashing of bone.
And as the end draws near
For this human race,
I shed one single tear
That rolls off my face.
Wishing that you could be here by my side,
But you had to be brave and for me you have died.

But remember this,
In your eternal bliss:
The Blue Jay sings
Here at the End of All Things.
