Endless Trek Of The Wanderlust Poem by David Harris

Endless Trek Of The Wanderlust

Off the coast of Jamaica some nights
when the moon is full
can be seen the silhouette
of a brigand under full sail
and hear the voices in the wind
of her rowdy crew
as they sail upon the endless seas.
The ship is called the Wanderlust
and was Captain Horatio Fyfe's ship,
Fyfe known as the demon pirate
sailed along the Spanish Main
looking for any merchant ship to plunder.
Some say he was the devil
for crimes of evil he committed.
They say the ship is cursed
and all who sail too close
will join her crew to sail on forever
never stopping at any port.
Their souls are lost to the devil
for the sins they have committed.
If you see its silhouette,
steer clear and head for home.
There are a lot who didn't
and paid the price so dear,
to roam the endless seas forever
never again to see their home.
