Enfettered Poem by Suraj Motiwala

Enfettered

Weakening the chains one link at a time,
freeing self from fetters as I struggle to fly..

A part of me desists my flight,
to my surprise I find another tie laughing at my plight!

Held back with stains, with rooted chains, with these self raised veils;
my grief-stricken soul, fallen on the dust remains!

In frosty days and in the darksome night I hear my souls deafening cry,
it begs to be free, how it longs to fly!

Now fetters are weaker assumes my soul,
it's perpetual longing to reach the Desired Goal gives it joy and added might just to find,
it failed yet another flight!

Many a days of life have come and gone,
At the sight of His Beauty at once failures are forgotten and manifold hopes are born!
How i long to please Him my hearts a witness!
I pray and yearn and prise to shatter soon these chains and
enter the closing Portals of Paradise! !
