Engraven Cross Poem by Christopher Cariad

Engraven Cross

These scars engraved in my skin
Marks the times,
I've lived in sin.
As an old scar fades out,
A new one bleeds through.
I cry for mercy
As the blood drains cold.
Fighting for my life
And this eternal soul.
Saved by your grace,
These scars lay in remembrance
Of the former life I've lead.
Coming back to my cross
And rising out from the dead.
To be scarless and beautiful
In the lights sight.
Saved by your grace
In the land
Of his great divine.
