Enough Poem by Lucia Stefanovici

Enough

Unconscious plural,
loose delirium
when the storm freezes in a glass at the window
and death is at the door, the apparition is in the house.
Unconscious plural, ambulant scenery,
of circus without bread,
of dreamless sleep,
with broken pieces cut into the head,
pieces of concrete.
Unconscious plural,
loose delirium
when your hand clings to anything,
like a bar,
in a tram
which turns to the end,
which turns to the end,
which turns to the end,
round,
and from which you do not come down again
and where you do not know how you came in,
from an unconscious plural
into a loose delirium,
Huddled up and bent
as any child not born yet
waiting someone to take you
you, pretzel,
a circle of bread and to be hanged
on a Christmas tree
of which no one can take you anymore
but the one who is born
in the same unchanged moment into changing,
each year
waiting for
a Christmas
Carol.
