Envious Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Envious

Envious

How I wish you too could
Sit like me, like a child
Go to heavens and come back
In your thoughts; on carpet
(Magic one)
With a broom; like a witch
Or fables, fairy-tales

I flew and was caught
In web-nets, in skies
Entangled; my hands tied
My ankles were both caught
Motionless like a fly
Spider had long legs
Horrible, horrible; I, scared

All these waves
Radios and TVs, our phone calls
Kept fighting for passage
“I was first”
“I’m strong”
Their sabers danced along
Men on Earth in gadgets
No more trees, fish or birds

You, my love, instead
Are busy with nothing
Emptiness to you honey
Is “The Life, Everything”
You and I do not match
You “Busy with nothing”
I “Worried for Everything”
You’re lucky, I envy
