Envy Poem by Paul Gomez

Envy

The Emerald ocean sings
the song of a Rilkeian
'world inner-space' melody
It is here -
where the dolphins play

the evil eyed
shark is looming
far beneath, in the depths
of abnegation

The ashen blue dolphin
entices the lascivious serpent,
antagonizing its appetite
into a frenzied Zenith

Simultaneously the dolphin,
is consumed by the fiend's
beguiling rhetoric of affirmations.

Piecemeal... capitulating
