Equality Poem by Merlene Campbell

Equality

Rating: 5.0

Water pours down, the drops spread apart
The flow runs together and unity starts
One big mistake is thinking the drops are alike
When equality is not the unity's strife
They struggle together in a stream all their own
Yet in the distance is a magical tone
Drops none yet alike ask for equality within their right
Some are much bigger with a more powerful punch
Some so small you would think they were none
Then in the middle the more that they fall
A stream is created out of them all
Together much stronger, as some of them know
Creates a river and a constant flow

This is a very profound poem (added to my favorites) and I find the universal meaning of humanity in it, plus the inequality of status for some are rich and powerful, while some are poor and hopeless. Great piece of writing! Bravo!
