Equilibrium Poem by Joseph Cross

Equilibrium

What's in a laugh when it may lead to tears?
What's in a mind if it's filled with fears?
What's in a life when it soon shall end?
What's in a rip when it just might mend?
So laugh till you cry, sing till you're silent,
Smile till you frown, make peace till it's violent.
The balance was broken, the break was repaired,
All old was made new, but nobody cared.
For good can't exist without evil beside it,
If your heart's on your sleeve, you'll soon try to hide it.
Your fears are revealed, as soon as they're lost,
So if you are poor, will you pay the cost?
