Escape Me Now Poem by Ayieneiya

Escape my mind if you must.
Fly away and flee from me.
Run away while the memories
are not yet as strong,
and the nights, not yet as long.
Escape me while all we had
are still joys - no sadness,
no challenges, no friction.

Flee from me while
I still can see you go.
I know that when the memories
become deeply engraved,
and my psyche ceased to
be mine alone,
I do not know if I can even
bear the thought of seeing you go.
