Eternal Misery Poem by Quentin Hardison

Eternal Misery

Hey, can you tell me my friend,
when will this agony ever end
this agony that I feel is so intense
with a lot of pain that goes really
deep,
it makes me wonder how I'm ever
able to sleep
this heart felt pain feels like a
knife constantly thrusting in and
out of my heart,
until it finally rips it all apart
this agony that I feel can't be
washed away by a downpour of
rain,
because it only increases the pain
this heart felt misery feels like
nothing that I've ever felt before,
causing so much pain that it makes
me fall to the floor
the pain won't go away but instead
goes on and on forever,
ask me if I'll soon be happy one day
and I'll say, no, not ever
it's as if I don't have any emotional
control,
because I lost it all the day that
misery consumed my soul
so, if anyone ever stops to ask what's
wrong with me,
I'll just say that it's just a little
something that I call eternal misery

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I got the inspiration for this poem after watching a movie about a person who always experienced the heart felt emotion described in this poem.
