Eternity Poem by Mark Sauer

Eternity

If I had eternity
I could read every book
In all the libraries of the world;
Until the day should come
When I had read the last book.

If I had eternity
I could learn every tongue
And sing all the songs of the world;
Until the day should come
When I had sung the last song.

If I had eternity
I could wander every path
And search all the byways of the world;
Until the day should come
When I had trod the last path.

If I had eternity
I could spend each waking moment
Gazing on the beauty of your face
And then dream of you at night.

That, I could do forever.
