This week, three granddaughters came to visit us
They have one week vacation from school for their Easter break.
Now it's early spring, nature begins to show flowers.
Daffodils are in full blooms with yellow and white flowers.
Many daffodils bloom in my front and back yards.
Many thousand white and yellow daffodils embrace the spring.
On the driveway that leads to my house
Three granddaughters raced in their motorized vehicles.
They laughed as hard as they raced.
Racing enough on driveway, they raced on lawn grass.
Then they stopped in cool shades of white pine trees
Where there was a picnic table they could seat to eat.
They swung on a large swinging bench
Hanging from the same maple tree, there were two swing sets
Holding the chain, they sprang and breezes lifted their flowing hair.
They climbed steps to get on a tree house to play.
From that platform, they slid down on a sliding board.
Grandma and three grandchildren spent much time together.
They drove together to different places.
They enjoyed Hershey Chocolate tour.
They visited Hershey library and ate in their favorite restaurant.
Three grandchildren came for their spring vacation.
They bought candles for grandpa's birthday.
They chose sixty nine candles for the cake.
These candles gave different lights as they burned.
They sang happy birthday to grandpa
They clapped their hands and laughed very hard after their singing.
They also ordered special two-layer ice cream cake
With vanilla bottom and chocolate top.
At the end of the week, their father came to bring them home.
They smiled when leaving, looking forward to their summer vacation.

EVELYN, ESTELLA, ELIANA NGHỈ HÈ MÙA XUÂN 2016


Tuần này, ba cháu tới thăm
Phục sinh, trường nghỉ một tuần, cháu chơi.
Đầu xuân, cây cỏ lên bông
Daff'dil nở rực vàng tươi, trắng ngần.
Tư viên, hoa nở trước sau
Mấy ngàn bông trắng, bông vàng đón xuân.
Trên đường dẫn lối vào nhà
Ba xe cháu chạy, thi nhau cháu cười.
Chán đường, cháu lái vào sân
Tạm ngừng, cháu nghỉ dưới tàn thông xanh.
Nơi đây có một bàn ăn
Nơi đây, có ghế đu đưa cháu ngồi.
Xích đu treo ở cây phong
Vịn tay cháu nhún, gió trời tóc bay.
Chòi cây, cháu bước lên lầu
Chơi xong, cháu lại tuột cầu xuống mau.
Cả tuần, bà cháu với nhau
Nhờ bà, cháu tới tiệm này, tiệm kia.
Cháu thăm Choc'late Hershey
Cháu thăm thư viện, tiệm nào cháu ăn.
Tuần này, cháu nghỉ mùa xuân
Sinh nhât ông nội, cháu mua đèn cầy.
Đèn cầy đủ sáu chín (69) cây
Đèn này khi cháy cho mầu khác nhau.
Hát mừng ông nội 'birth day'
Hát xong rồi lại vỗ tay cười nhiều.
Bánh ngon, hai lớp cà-rem
Đỉnh cho-cô-lết, nền vanilla.
Cuối tuần, bố chở về nhà
Lên xe không khóc, hẹn mùa hè vui.
