Even If You Don'T Love Me Anymore Poem by Harry J. Couchon Jr

Even If You Don'T Love Me Anymore

We've gone our separate ways you and I
Walked out of each others lives forever
Still some mornings I wake missing you
And I wonder do you ever miss me

We both tried you have to admit
But somehow trying wasn't enough
And even if you don't love me anymore
You know you once did and so do I

Whose fault was it not that it matters
It happened just one if those things
We went from being friends to lovers to strangers
And we both know that sequence is wrong

And even if you don't love me anymore
I hope that when you think of me you smile
Remembering times we shared in happiness
Before love walked out of our lives forever

Well maybe not forever it only seemed so
And at last I've found love again
If you can please be happy for me
Even if you don't love me anymore
