Even In The Very Hardest Heart Poem by Francis Duggan

Even In The Very Hardest Heart

Rating: 4.0

In the hardest heart some seed of good you'll find
Though some than others more generous and kind
All babies they are born free of sin
Tis as we age that our human flaws set in
I too have flaws of that why should i lie
You will not find one more cynical than i
We are corruptible and would you not agree
That so few of us of any vice is free
Our flaws are part of our humanity
And the failings of others we can see readily
But our own flaws we somehow can't seem to see
In that way you are not different to me
And though few seeds ever seem to grow on hard and sunbaked ground
Even in the the very hardest heart some good is to be found.
