Even The Dreams Poem by Shalom Freedman

Even The Dreams

EVEN THE DREAMS

Even the dreams
I dream
Are no longer dreams-

The sunlight is too beautiful this morning
The day too bright and fresh
It is as if the world
Is as it should be

"How I should love to be young again
Knowing what I know now"

But I never will be.
