Even Though Poem by Bri Bathalon

Even Though

Even though we live miles away from each other.
Even though we have a 2 to 3 year age difference.
Even though we don’t talk much now like we used to.
We’re still the best of friends. You’re my best friend and forever you will be.
I miss you terribly and can’t wait to see your smiling face in our next encounter.
Everything that I see reminds me of you and I just smile and laugh. Memories that we have are forever cherished in my heart and mind. Taking a trip down memory lane is fun for me. Like when we made that dance to “Thousand Miles” by Vanessa Carlton? In the middle of the street between our houses. Whenever I hear that song I stop everything and do the dance. It’s hard because right in the middle I will start crying. Just remembering everything that we used to do when we were younger. I moved almost 3 years ago and I’ve only seen you once. I miss seeing you and hearing you talk about everyone at school. Even though I don’t have a single clue what you are talking about just being there with my best friend hearing about her problems and giving her advice and kidding around just makes me happy. When I last saw you we were having our Christmas and we went around the mall and went to one of those booth things that take your picture. We both spent $3 to get our pictures taken. I still have them and forever will they be in my heart. When we got back to our parents they weren’t the happiest that we spent the money on those pictures. We knew exactly that’s what we wanted to spend our money on and we did. I’ll miss our strange adventures into the woods in mid day.

I miss you! !
