Evergreen

I could happily die here!
It is as fitting a place as anywhere else
As life ceases a moment for healing and repair
Deep within I find peace with myself
It is like nothing this heart has ever seen
Such magnificence to behold!
Amidst the vast expanse of evergreen
A new sense of identity unfolds

A picture perfect beauty!
The soul is instantly humbled within
As if the inner man is speaking to me
The great comfort that it brings!
Sitting by myself in muted silence
A glow of light radiates across my face
The peace, the calm, the ambiance
Life halts its blistering pace

Penetrating with a massaging soothe
With a soft and hypnotic touch
The air strolls by with a quieting cool
The senses are excitedly lifted up
As life gradually ceases its hurried pace
And inhales the new freshness in
A complete cleansing of its toxic wastes
Takes place miraculously within

It's indeed a soul uplifting moment
The spirit soars high in the gentle breeze
Like a miracle of an enchantment
The heart is awestruck by life's calming scenes
Atop the distant, low rolling hills
Across the richly blanketed plains
The engaging evergreen stands quietly still
Receiving life's silent thoughts and pains

I could truly die here!
Life has enjoyed its total fill of inner peace
The heart exhales in silent, humble revere
As the restoration of the soul completes
It has its own power of persuasion
The hidden wonders of the evergreen!
Life is truly a miracle of transformation
It is evident in its ever changing scenes
