Evergreen Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

Evergreen

Rating: 5.0

Now always in my heart you dwell
Wherever I may go,
And always in my thoughts you stay
My future I now know,
And through the years that I have lived
And all the dreams I've seen,
My love for you will last forever
Like the evergreen.

For always in my eyes I see
A picture that is you,
It always brings me happiness
In everything I do,
Through all the years of bitter hurt
And sadness that has been,
My love for you will last forever
Like the evergreen.

You're always there beside me
You're my rock to which I cling,
You're always there supporting me
Such comfort you do bring,
Through all the hardship I've endured
In times so cruel and mean,
My love for you will last forever
Like the evergreen.

Always in my lasting thoughts
I never shall forget,
And you're always in my wishes
I'm forever in your debt,
For when my days seem filled with woe
And life has lost its sheen,
My love for you will last forever
Like the evergreen.

This i enjoyed with the very tender flow you managed to present with a touch of endless love. You were very soft with using an evergreen to represent the theme of forever, and yet showing pain, but also showing the strength that it takes to withold an aching heart with endless heart beats.... Very well constructed as always, it to me is a Blakemore Classic.......
