Every Day Poem by Erica Smith

Every Day

Do you know I think about you every day?
When I look down at my wrists I feel again
All the sadness I tried to cut away.

All your smiles that led to sex
You let me believe you cared
My exterior was confident, bold,
But inside I was scared

Your plan from the begining
Was to tear me apart
In hopes that you could mend
Your lost and broken heart

You know what you did
You can turn your head
And mutter things to ease your insecurities
You can say it isn't true;
That I brought it upon myself
But deep down inside
You know what you did to me
You turned me into you
