Every Mistake Poem by Francis Duggan

Every Mistake

There should be a lesson for you in your every mistake
For it won't be a wise one every choice you do make
And every mistake it does come at a price
That you have to pay for by making the wrong choice
You choose the wrong type of husband you choose the wrong type of wife
A common mistake many make in their life
And the squabbles of dead love in marriage may go on for years
And end in the divorce courts and often in tears,
Everyone makes mistakes even the most discreet
But only the most naive their mistakes will repeat
In life a new lesson for us every day
Though a fool never learns some have been known to say
We all make the wrong choices that is our human way
And for our every mistake there is some price to pay.
