Everything Is Grey. Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Everything Is Grey.

Rating: 4.5

I’m lonely today
In my hometown.

I walk around,
Sad and lost
And as invisible
As the breeze.

No one recognizes me
Or says hello,
I think someone
Stumbled over me
The way you might
A sleeping drunk
In a godforsaken slum.

I wish I could take
My vague self
To some exotic Asian city
And gaze at a dark-haired girl
In a long black dress.

This is a time
To dispense with sunglasses:

Everything is grey.
