Everything You Deserve Poem by Rupert ColePalmer

Everything You Deserve

Story Line:

I wrote this awhile ago.
I was somewhat inspired by you.
I just finished it.
I thought it appropriate I share it with you.
I don't hate you I just wonder about your acclaims.

Poem:

Everything you deserve will come to you soon.

It will be a beautiful day when they applaud you as you walk into that room.

Glasses will tap! Hands will clap! Rounds will be bought in your name.

We will all stand up tall and cheer you and as you speak they will all hear you.

And you would not expect anything from them but the same.

All the people and your one friend were gathered but what all that had mattered is that they shut down the night for you.

And then they gave out some-kind-of-award to you for doing the same things that other people do the same.

Then you; Beautiful-Independent-Unselfish-You. You stood up and they stood up too. Grabbing knife and glass they cheered you at last.

And your friends of most whom you've just met and by time you reach home their names which you will soon forget, even your friend stood up and cheered your name.

They took the silverware and clanged it upon the stemware but then out of nowere the stemware shattered.

All those awards that just had mattered they also shatter just like your memories.

I do remember you but forgot your name.

So sweet, special, Independent you what to do, What to do?

They are all gone now the crowds and your one friend too.

But before they left they swept up your shattered glass and put it out with the trash and hung your awards in the perfect place.

Right next to all your other achievements which took you a long time to acheieve but saddly your wall is running out of space.
