Evil Poem by Irene C S ClarkHogg

Evil

Rating: 5.0

EVIL.

Satan so often gets the blame
For abhorrent acts, done in his name
An evil force, the anti-Christ
An entity capable of any vice.

And, is it only the wicked act I do
Or are hurtful words included too
Even the things held in my mind
Thoughts of you that are unkind.

'Where is the evil? ' then I ask
A pleasant smile, the covering mask
For these things, held deep inside
The truth, just what we need to hide.

Shiva, Khali, Isis or Sett
Juju, Zeus. have you met
God, Satan, Allah? All the same
There is a power without a name.

Yes, there is a thing that we can use
For good, a power that we abuse
We use it for evil, we all can
For the force is not evil, only man.
