We knew they were there
we were told about their existence
we knew they were ahead
waiting in the corner
just like a thief
at nightfall in the city
yet we chose to walk blind folded

we were told to proceed
with caution
as many are called
few are chosen
every soldier stands still
as the war is initiated
yet few emerge victorious
in the end

the battle field has been chosen
everything we have been through
was to prepare us
for this particular war
knowledge grasped in the camp
is the only weapon required
in order to bring victory to your king
and return home in one piece

anyone can make it this far
better soldiers have been here before
much stronger man and women
have been tormented and humiliated here before
smart individuals have been caught
by this predator before
we are young and fresh
the predator is hungry for fresh prey
it is leaking it jaws as we speak
should you slip and fall
it is waiting it will catch you
and shall eat you alive

everything that has a beginning
has an ending
even this torture shall perish
shortly
it will soon be a once was tale
that will be told by the surviving individuals
to the next generation

may the lord give you wisdom
shall your efforts not go to waste
the extra hours you have invested
shall not go unnoticed
good luck for exams
